How To Apply Carrot Oil For Hair

There are many products on the market containing carrot extracts and oils (we list our faves below), if you’d prefer to use a DIY treatment you can create your own hair mask at home. For a simple oil application, dilute 3-4 drops of carrot essential oil with 2-4 tablespoons of a carrier oil such as coconut oil. Use oil sparingly depending on your hair type. Work the oil treatment through your hair while massaging it into your scalp. Comb through your hair, cover with a plastic cap and leave for an hour before washing out with shampoo.

To create a rinse, mix 3-4 drops of essential carrot oil with 2 cups of water and 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. Apply to your hair after shampooing, leave for 5 minutes before rinsing again.
